* Emulation software for Windows is ready to run (from medium or after
installation, no additional downloads required). ROM and OS files can be used
for emulation on other platforms (e.g. Mac OS, GNU/Linux, etc.), but may be
unsupported and may require download and manual installation of additional free
software. Due to hardware differences, Amiga floppy drives and some other
peripherals cannot be connected to non-Amiga hardware, even if running an
emulation.
** Automatic updates require internet connection and Software Director
(included).
*** Additional downloads require internet connection. Download sites are listed
on web site.

Additional ROM and System Content
Would you like to see the
evolution of the Amiga Workbench from version 1.0 up to 3.X (in different
styles, too), through all intermediate versions ever released? With Amiga
Forever Plus Edition you can. The ROM and operating system files include
all publicly-released versions (except for those that were only meant to
run only in combination with a specific piece of hardware which is not
required in the
hardware emulation,
such as the A2024 monitor).
The CDTV and CD³² ROMs can be used to
play CDTV and CD³² games, even booting directly from a game CD.
Personal Paint Included
The Amiga Forever Plus Edition
CD, which contains an Amiga Rock Ridge file system to carefully preserve
the original Amiga file system attributes, also replaced the Personal
Paint 7.1 CD as the official up-to-date reference medium for
Personal Paint,
inclusive of tutorials and full documentation. This data, intended for use
on "real" Amiga computers, is contained in the "Amiga" directory at the
root of the CD.
Includes Amiga Explorer PC connection software
The Amiga Explorer networking software allows any number of Windows systems
to access the resources of an Amiga computer. The computers may be physically
connected with a "null-modem" serial cable, a Bluetooth wireless link, or via
TCP/IP (e.g. Ethernet cards, or over the internet).
Unique features of Amiga Explorer include:
- Automatic installation of the Amiga side through serial cable (no
additional software required). Before the release of Amiga Explorer this used
to be considered an impossible task!
- The Windows side can copy to and from the Amiga, and move, rename, delete,
format and examine properties of Amiga files, directories and volumes through
the familiar Windows Desktop and Explorer interfaces
- Virtual floppy (ADF), hard disk (HDF) and ROM image files, very useful for
archiving and emulation purposes, are created on the fly. ADF files can be
both read from and written to Amiga floppy drives.
- The Amiga side, including the self-installation part, works with all Amiga
OS versions from 1.2, and is compatible with AmigaOS 4.0 and MorphOS
- The Windows side works on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT
4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 (some "competing"
products are DOS-based and do not run on newer versions of Windows)
Original Forever features list:
- Preinstalled Amiga OS
3.X environment (for productivity, internet access, etc.) and Amiga OS 1.3
environment (for compatibility with older software), running on top of a
powerful JIT-enabled Amiga hardware emulation which also supports Amiga custom
chips, RTG, AHI, SCSI, up to 512 MB of Zorro III RAM, virtual memory, MIDI,
native x86 code, etc.
- A multitude of carefully preinstalled quality Amiga applications, which
include the AWeb browser (great for cross-browser testing), TCP/IP,
Personal Paint
7.1c (paint, animation and image processing software, includes
GIF/LZW
license), special version of CacheCDFS CD file system, AmigaAMP media player,
DirDiff (file synchronization and replication software), AmiToRTF (to convert
texts from Amiga to Windows formats), MailBX (to convert Amiga mail archives
to Microsoft Mail, Outlook Express and Exchange Server), drag-and-drop LhA,
print spooler, Directory Opus 5.5 (courtesy of
GPSoftware), TurboText (exclusive
latest version with bug fixes), MUI (shareware version), KingCON, FreeWheel,
PowerSnap, ToolManager, ReqTools, etc.
- Compatibility with Amiga OS "3.5"+ icons, NewIcons and MagicWB icons
- New and fully licensed Picasso96 software (not a shareware version), maps
Amiga graphics requests directly to fast x86 calls and powerful low-level
DirectX functions (Windows
version of emulation)
- Amiga Narrator and Translator
speech
synthesis components (made available for distribution with the Amiga OS
for the first time since 1991, when Commodore-Amiga's licenses expired)
- More than 10 "First Demos" are included in the 1.3 environment.
- Latest versions of WinUAE and WinFellow tested and supported by Cloanto.
Non-Windows versions included and/or available too.
-
with free Worldwide deliver (this item only).
